My Himalayan Mocha always has the cutest kittens. I thought I would take some pictures of her kittens. I had a bouquet of dried flowers from being a bridesmaid many years before (not exactly sure why I kept them!) I went to the dollar store and picked up a pink blanket and voila -it made a pretty nice backdrop for my cute little kitten =)

Cute Little Ginger Fluffy Kitty Sherbert: Picture of Him at 12 Months Old

The story of cute little ginger kitten Sherbert is shared with us by Brittney. He sounds like a good little killer kitten with all the hunting he does!
My cute little kitten, Sherbert(also goes by Sherb and Sherby). I got the idea for his name after seeing him sleep all curled up in the living room floor the night I got him and thought he looked like a scoop of Orange Sherbert.
At this time he is now 8 or 9 years old and was born on July 4th! But this photo you are seeing is him at about age 1 or younger(didn't take many pics of him as a younger cat).
I got Sherbert when he was I believe no more than a few months old. He was just old enough to live out without his mom and I had found an ad in the newspaper for "FREE KITTENS". I just moved to a small town and a year ago lost my dog, Trinket(a Brittany Spaniel) and was lonely.
So Dad allowed me to call the lady and pick out a cat. We met the gal at a old folks home she had the entire litter there with the mother. I picked out the orange Tabby. I let the old guy who was sitting on the porch pet him for a while and I took him home. When Dad and I were going home it started to rain like crazy and Sherbert stayed in my lap and started trembling. I took him home and set him down on the living room and he stayed there all night.
His personality is very catlike. He is a lazy cat, but can once in a while get a little hyper and run around the house like a wild man. He is what I like to call "Our little mouse killer". He's killed at least a dozen since we moved to our new home.
Once Sherbert is is in his playful mood he will constantly chase our dog, Kipper(a English Setter/Yellow Lab cross) around the house and when she is lying down Sherbert will attack Kipper's tail.
A funny story about my cat would be the one time I attempted to give him a bath as a kitten. I was home by myself with my friend Kimberly. It had stormed the night before and our basement was flooded(like it always does). Sherbert's litter box is downstairs.
Kimberly and I were downstairs trying to clean up the mess (like the little puddles of water). Well Sherbert didn't look before he leaped and he ran down the basement stairs and into a small puddle of water in front of his litter box and jumped right into his litter box and looked at me and kept meowing. So Kimberly and I decided to go back upstairs and we watched a little tv and ten minutes later Sherbert was meowing again.
I go downstairs and he's still in his litter box and was staring at me meowing. So I picked him up and carried him to the stairs and set him down and he ran up the stairs and didn't go down there again until Dad cleaned up the puddles.

Little Baby Kitten Leo... A Little Ball of Fluff

Cute baby kitten named Leo. He is just one big ball of fluff as you can see in the cute kitten picture, Jasper shares how Leo became part of his family and a little about Leos brothers.
Neither of his parents are fluffy, but Leo, even today, is an absolute puffball.
He takes after his mom: squeaky meow, very vocal, wide yellow eyes, goofy demeanor...and a whole mess of trouble if left unattended. He's not too bright, but he's a sweet little guy, full of gurgling kitten purrs and hilarious kitten antics even on the worst of days.
Due to his...unusually determined mother (you can see her in the background), he is actually from her second litter; both litters are all boys with yellow eyes, a mix of white, black, buff and orange. We still have two from the first litter, Conrad and Jack, who get along with Leo very well. Conrad even plays gentle with him!
Leo's learned a lot from his brothers; for example, how to carry toys around in his mouth and how to use the cat door. Unfortunately, he's also learned how to hide in my room where I can't get to him! They're a little trouble trio, I tell you, but at the end of the day I love them to pieces.
(Sometimes they snuggle together, now, but they don't like it when I see them like that, especially Jack; he tries to play the "cool older brother" look, but he's just a big fat softie behind that exasperated expression.)

Kitten Adoptions: Pictures of Calico Kitten Little Lu

Calico kittens are so cute and little kitten Lu is not exception. Kitten adoptions really make us smile here at Keeping Kittens and Lu's story is one of a kitten getting adopted.
Luci was born in the parking lot of the church/school where my mother teaches. The principal took Luci, her mother, and her siblings into her house temporarily. When the litter was six weeks old, my mother surprised me by asking me if I'd like to go see the kittens.
My adult male cat, Eiri, had recently lost his brother. They were inseparable, and I couldn't stand to see Eiri suffer like that.
We got to the principal's house and I knew Luci, a long-haired calico cutie, was the one for us. We were given a towel to wrap her in and took her home. She cried all the way. I felt so bad about it that I considered taking her back!
Once we got home, Eiri ran to greet me, as always. I gently put Luci down on the floor, and he sniffed her, hissed, and ran away! He was terrified!
This continued for a few days, until I noticed Luci and Eiri playing together. They've been best friends ever since. Late one night, I heard a strange sound. I turned on the light and looked at Luci and Eiri, who had been cuddled up next to me. Luci was "nursing" off of Eiri's neck, and he was grooming her!
Lu (whose full name is Lucielle), when not playing with her "brother", loves to play with the rings that come off of milk jugs. We call her "Ludini" because she is incredibly deft at opening things. Once, I walked into my room and spotted Luci on my bed. Just beside her was a bag of treats. She had opened the drawer in which they're kept, taken the package in her mouth, scurried to my room with them, jumped on the bed, and ate some in peace.
Another time, I noticed a bag of nuts with Luci's teeth marks on the floor of my room. The silver sheen was just like that on the packaging of her kitty treats! Once she'd ripped it open enough to smell it, though, she gave up on that plan.
All in all, Luci is very shy around people, except for me. She defers to any cat she meets (I have two others besides her and Eiri). She and Eiri are equals in their eyes, though, and I hope they'll be together for many years to come!

Cute Little Black Kitten: 8 Week Old Kitten Named Iggy

A little black kitten story of his mothers rescue and the birth of Iggy and his siblings. Iggy was part of a newborn baby kitten litter whose young mother cat was rescued by I. Guthrie.
A young cat turned up on our doorstep. She was hungry and bony and so we took her in. She was obviously heavily pregnant.
She was not microchipped and nobody claimed her. I made her a birthing box although she did not seem to take any intrest in it. A week after taking her in I was surprised to see her in the birthing box.
I was even more surprised to see three adorable, tabby kittens with her. I watched as the final kitten was born, a black one that was smaller than the rest.
I really took to this kitten. From an early age when he got tired he jump up and sit on my lap, none of the others would do this! He was the first to use the litter tray and has had no accidents.
He is now eight weeks old and we have just given the other kittens to loving homes. We named him Iggy and he is as lovable as ever. He has taken to play fighting with his mother (he never wins) and licking her clean although he also really loved human company and loves being scratched on his tummy and on his neck!
Thanks for sharing this story that included a rescued mother cat and a cute newborn litter. I always love to hear about all the caring people who look after cats and kittens in need.

Cute Kitten Picture: My Little One

A story of a rescued little kitten, Jessye shares how she found her kitten "Little One" and how she ended up adopting this kitten into her life.
I found Little One on the side of the highway, as we were on our way to visit some puppies. Just as we left the on-ramp I saw a flash of orange but we were unable to stop due to traffic.
I made my boyfriend turn around at the next exit (15 min away) and return to the spot, where I found a terrified, lonely, and hungry kitten. He meowed loudly and helplessly as I slowly approached him. I was worried I might scare him into the road, but he just sat there and waited for me to pick him up. I carried him to the car without even a squirm!
In the car he talked away in between rubbing against my face and arms and purring. We took him home that day and immediately to the vets where he was treated for fleas and malnutrition.
We already had two cats and weren't planing on another but he immediately stole our hearts with his silly antics. A few days later we brought home a basset hound puppy and they have been inseparable ever since.
Originally we named our new baby "Cosmonaut" (naut for short) because he was such an explorer! However, one day I called him my little one and it stuck! Now when we go to the vets we have to remember which name we gave them.
Little One loves to cuddle with his brothers and sisters, but is a bit shy of people, but is a total mamas boy. I can cuddle him whenever I like, but it takes him some time to warm up to strangers. Once he does, he'll be your friend forever. He loves dancing around the living room - he gets up onto his back paws and bats at my hands with his front. His favorite dancing song is 'Like a Prayer' by Madonna.
Little One is and always be my baby, and I adore each and every day I have to cuddle with him.

I came up with Soshi's name because I read an anime called Absolute Boyfriend and the main character's closest friend was named Soshi, who is calm and organized too. I helped my step-mom's cat give birth to 8 kittens, Soshi was the 3rd born and 3rd biggest. I love Soshi so much i'd do anything for her and spoil her to death she is so cute. Molly came to me by accident. A co-worker of mine had a cat that had just had kittens. I wasn't really looking for a cat, although I had been thinking about it since my cat of 16 years had passed away a few years prior. She asked if I wanted one, and I couldn't help myself.
I was going to get the calico of the litter. Two days before I was going to pick her up, she got a very bad respiratory infection, and sadly, passed away. My co worker told me that the little grey kitten, and her favorite of the litter, was still up for adoption. I decided to take her instead. My Molly Mouse =] I love her more and more each day.
She is named after Ron Weasley's mom from Harry Potter

PJ was born a 6 weeks ago with 2 other brothers and 1 sister. We unfortunately lost one of the boys, but still have the other 2. He likes to get into a lot of mischief, hence his name, Pepper Jack.....since he's a fiery lil one! His favorite game to play?? Biting my toes!!! Ouch!!!

Cute Kitten Pictures: Meet Timon, The Little Grey Tiger Striped Kitten

Cute kitten pictures at Keeping Kittens. Molly introduces us to Timon, her super adorable, grey tabby kitty and shares his story. She has even shared a gorgeous cute kitten picture to boot...
This is Timon. Sometimes I called him Papa Roni, sometimes I call him Scwapa, and sometimes I call him Timon. I don't remember where I got those names from though.
On the Fourth of July last year, which also happens to be my husband's birthday, I went to Wal-Mart to get some last minute supplies for the BBQ we were having that night. In Washington where I live it is extremely hot in the summer, and on that particular day it was over 100 degrees outside. When I was leaving the store there was a little girl standing there with her dad and she shouted out, asking if I wanted a cat. I love kids and I didn't want to be rude and ignore her so I went over. To my surprise there was a very tiny grey tiger striped kitten in the back of this kennel staring out at me. He was one of the cutest kittens I have ever seen and I felt very bad for him in that heat, just sitting alone in the kennel. His brothers and sisters had already found homes and he was the only one left. It made me sad and reminded me of the Disney movie "Oliver and Company". We already had 3 dogs and 3 cats, but he was such a sweetheart that I had to take him home.
I was hoping that my husband wouldn't be mad that I brought a cat home, but I told him that it was his birthday present. My husband was a little irritated at first, but Timon has such a great personality and is so charming that my husband couldn't resist him. Compared to my large dogs and other cats he looked so tiny running around.
The first few months that we had him I thought he was crazy and actually tried researching behavior problems in cats in the Internet. I have been around cats and kittens my entire life but this was the first time that I had run into one that was so hyper. During the day time he was mostly calm, but as soon as it would start to get dark Timon would go nuts. He would race around the house on the hard wood floors and then he wouldn't be able to stop himself and he would crash right into the wall.
Now that he is older, he isn't as hyper anymore, but I still think he's crazy. When I have tuna, fried chicken, or tacos, he will literally stalk me around the house trying to get a bite. Sometimes I mistake him for one of the dogs. He is a really cute cat, but trust me, he isn't as sweet as he looks, but we love him.

Little Baby Kitten: With One of the Longest Girl Kitten Names... Ever!

What an adorable gray tabby kitten! Doc introduces us to a little baby kitten with one of the longest girl kitten names I have ever seen!
What is the longest girl kitten names? It has to be this little cute kittens name: "Autumn Princess Peanut-Face Sassy Pants aka Cactus"!
Autumn Princess Peanut-Face Sassy Pants aka Cactus
We acquired this pretty tortoiseshell kitten after she was found sitting alone, crying loudly, in a neighbor's front yard one chilly fall morning. She was cold and shivering, and barely a month old.
She soon warmed up, and after a good meal of kitten formula and baby food, she was ready to "rock 'n' roll"! Turns out, she has a very forceful personality! In our challenging household of 3 dogs, 2 adult cats, birds and a turtle, she soon carved out a niche for herself. As time went on, her name changed; my daughter first called her Autumn Princess, then as her face markings became more distinct, Peanut-Face, and then, as her feisty personality emerged, she became Sassy Pants! A friend dubbed her "Cactus" as she was quite "prickly"!
In time, like all sassy kids, she grew up. We found her a good home, and she turned out to be a likable, beautiful tortoiseshell cat, with a big orange peanut on her nose!

Tuxedo Kitten: Mommy's Wee Little Black and White Kitty "Digby Joseph"

Cutest little Tuxedo kitten shared with us by Margaret. Check out these cute pictures of black and white kitten Digby and how at first this little kitten was mistaken for a girl kitten!!
Little Digby was made known to us by an ad "Tuxedo Kittens To Give Away". Apparently his pregnant mother stumbled upon a rural home approximately one hour from where we live. Initially, the people who took her in weren't aware of the pregnancy until some time later when they located her kittens. In the ad, these people pleaded for good homes for each of the little ones citing that their intent was to keep mom and bring her back to 100% health...which they did.
I picked little Digby because he so strongly resembled my precious 23 year old "Screech" that had passed away one month previous. I was devastated by her passing and I wasn't sure if getting a kitten was the right thing to do - so soon after her passing that is. I'm so glad I decided to get him! He certainly doesn't replace my ol' Screech but he certainly brings joy to my heart - and to his sister Tweety Ruth(she's eight years old).
He loves to play "peek-a-boo" with me. He prefers that I hide behind doorways, around corners, etc. and whisper "whereeeeee's Digby?" to him. He'll then chirp and nod his head emphatically in anticipation of being chased. He actually prefers that I run so he can chase me!
Don't ask me why but, initially, I thought Dig was a little girl. It wasn't until a about week later that I noticed "a couple of things". Turns out my little guy was not a little girl! That's quite alright. We love him to bits...that's why he gets away with far too much (way too much). He's a good little brother to "Tweety Ruth". He keeps her active and healthy. Sometimes, I'm sure, he really annoys her..but I do know one thing, they love to cuddle (when know one's watching of course). I believe she was missing Screech too.

Adorable Little Maine Coon Kitten: Meet Mr Zeus

What a cute Maine Coon kitten!! Brandy shares her youngest feline family member – Mr Zeus. Sounds like for a "kitten" he is growing fast and will soon be a big full grown cat!! She has even shared a cute Maine Coon kitten picture with us.
So we all know that OUR kittens are the most cutest things ever!!!! Its inevitable, but with that said, I have a four month old Maine Coon kitten that weighs 9lbs. So we call him a "Catten"!
His name is Zeus, he likes to wake us up every morning by dropping a toy on our face to play fetch with. Its rather nice to be able to just throw the toy and fall back asleep until he brings it back to us so we can just throw it again....and again...and again.
I have had many cats through out my life,and I do have to say hands down he is the cutest "and most ornery" cat I have ever come across! He's Amazing!!!!! Too smart for his own good!
