Keeping Kittens is the home of all things kitten...including a community of cat lovers and a monthly cutest kitten contest. Meet this little kitten with a big name!
My fiance and I got our kitten Wolfgang after 1 week of moving in to our new apartment. We named him after Mozart because we are both music students. Wolfgang loves laying down on the piano or squeezing behind our speakers. A very sophisticated kitten!
Thanks for sharing!

Rebecca shares her twin grey tabby kittens with the Keeping Kittens community. Included is a cute picture of the twin kittens Laffy and Taffy.
I adopted Laffy & Taffy from my local Humane Society when they were approximately 12 weeks old. I went in looking for just one kitten, but when I saw this cute pair I fell in love.
Turns out they were found in an abandoned house, just the two of them, when they were just a few weeks old, and taken to the rescue. I couldn't bear to separate brother and sister, so I took them both home with me the same day.
Now they are six months old, and just as feisty and cute as when I first brought them home. They have been the perfect companions. They cuddle at my feet in the bed every night, and greet me at the door every day after work. I couldn't ask for a better kitten duo!
Thanks for sharing your kittens with us. Love the twin kitten names you choose as well!

Meet this adorable kitty with lots of names. The Keeping Kittens community is a place for cat lovers to hang out and share their kitten tips and favorite kitten information.
My kitten's name is George Lucas Morgan Solo Skywalker Elswick. He just goes by Luke for short. We also call him Luka, The Duke, Lukeen, Lukey, Lukey Lu, or as the title reads "Luka Duka from Paducah".
However, he isn't actually from the town of Paducah at all. He is actually from the city of Berea, KY. We got him on December 31, 2010. Five days earlier, our four year old cat, Lorrie, had passed away.
I was terribly heartbroken and looking to fill the void that losing her had left in my life. We have two other cats also, but I just don't have the special bond with them that I had with Lorrie.
Enter Luke. From the moment I saw him in the pet store, I knew he was the one from me. He looked just like Lorrie, except Beige where she was Orange. I just knew that she had "sent him to me from Kitty Heaven or something". Luke has turned out to be an amazing cat. I love him more and more every day.
He gets along great with our other cats and our golden retriever, Leo. Our dog is also very close with our other male cat, Stewie. The three of them (the two cats and the dog) are inseperable.
It's so amazing. Never before in my life have a seen a dog and cat be friends but now he is friends with two of them. I think he is even closer to Lukey than he is with our other pet. Lukey, however, is very lazy. His favorite thing to do every morning is come snuggle in bed with me and he would stay there all day if he could. He just loves it.
Thanks for sharing your special kitty and his story.

Meet the cutest twin kittens ever! Tabby kittens Trouble and Mayhem are owned by Melissa and she tells us how they got their names and a bit about these two gorgeous fur balls!!
Our kittens names are Trouble & Mayhem ...there names say it all ...there 10 weeks and 5 days old ..Trouble he is exactly that at times as sweet as he is he seems to always be stirring up some kind of fight with his brother mayhem while he's sleeping or getting into something...but he is the sweetest thing after hes eaten and all tired out he will give you eskimo kisses like there no tomorrow until hes ready to finally pass out. and
Mayhem well we call him Mayhem because when laying in bed and you hear a big crashing sound in the middle in the night you know who caused it and tries to quickly run away from the scene of the crime and act all innocent meanwhile he was only trying to play with the tassels on the lamp shade ...when we first introduced them to my two year old cat the mayhem and trouble would play a game called who could get closer to the Big cat without getting whacked haha it was so cute to watch them brave up and touch our cats paw or tail we rescued our kittens from a flea market ..they were left in a box all alone but we cleaned them up and took them to the vet and they have been happy ever since.

Corinne shares a gorgeous picture of her cute gray kitten, and the story of how she found him at a Farmers Market. If you have a cute kitty – use the cute kitten picture form to share.
Well, I got my cute little kitten at a Farmers Market in April. He was so cute and just loved to hide in my hair. He was just to cute I had to take him home. As, i looked at him I knew what i wanted to call him. I named him Satoshi, and had a whole bunch of nick names for him. Like: Toshi, Tosh-bug, Tosh, and Toshi Tosh. One big problem though... Our other old cat at home.
She was not a very nice cat and when I brought him home. All she did was hiss at him for a whole week straight. He was an extrememly hyper little kitten and would chase after her constantly. I loved video tapping him run at her and jump on her back! She would completely freak out, and run away as fast as she could. He was such a crazy little kitty. He would hide under the couch until I would sit down and attack my ankles. When he could finally jump on the couch he would climb up my back and lay on my head. When he got fatter he could do that so well anymore.
I would pay tag with him on my deck. He would touch my foot with his paw and run. Then I would chase after him, and back and forth. He was a very smart kitten, and loved playing outside. He wanted to be outside whenever he could. He was such a sweet kitten and he loved attention. When I didn't want to give him attention he would jump all over me and attack my head till I finally gave him some love.
Then, after a while our other cat Phoebe came to like my Toshi. They would play all the time. He would always jump on her and try to play with her. Then she would wrestle him to the ground and wack him with her paw. She would get so annoyed with him I would let Toshi outside so she could finally relax. He was the only I could ever put on a leash and take for a walk. He was like a dog, sniffing everything.
He was a wonderful kitten, sadly he ran away after I left for a couple of months.
Sad to hear that your kitten ran away, but thank you for sharing your story. Satoshi is our Cutest Kitten winner for March 2011!

This little kitty was born to a feral mom, and he really did not want to stay in our house, but he would come in occasionally to visit. We named him Friskie. His hair is medium length, and he has a very beautiful coat.
Thanks for sharing your kitten.

Meet Elle, a kitten who was bravely rescued from a hunting owl. Mia her owner shares how Elle fills a hole that was left when her 16 year old cat passed away.
It was six in the morning when I heard a horrible screeching, and, worried about my neighbor's outdoor cat, ran outside to see what was wrong. What I found was an owl diving for a tiny, ratty looking thing about the size of a hamster. I shooed the owl away, scooped up the critter, and took her to the local vet.
She was fine, thankfully, and the vet speculated because of her markings and number of teats (only two), that she was part margay. (Margays are small Mexican cats that have been brought into the United States.) I named her Ellie Satler after a character in Jurassic Park, and we've been inseparable ever since. She's my best friend. My 16-year-old cat passed away in September, and if not for Ellie, I don't think I would have handled it as well as I did.
So here is Ellie. Isn't she the most precious thing ever?
Thank you for sharing Mia.

Yummmmmy!!!!
Meet another cute little kitten named Booboo. Keeping Kittens community has lots and lots of the cutest kitten pictures. Thanks Tracy for sharing Booboo and Mamma cat.
Booboo was born to a neighbor's mamma cat but they didn't take very good care of Mamma or her babies. The gave away the other kittens & she was the only one left. They started to come over our house to "visit" and have some good cat food, (God only knows what or how often they were fed over there!).
They both became permanent residents to our home and Booboo is now an indoor kitty. Mamma comes & goes & we have her fall litter here with us outside. "Daddy" built them real nice heated boxes to go in during this dreadful winter weather. We feed & care for a total of 9 kitties outside, counting Mamma kitty when she comes around. We also have a brood of 9 cats indoors ranging from age 17 down to 5 months.
Booboo is as funny & she is cute! She keeps the older kitties on their toes & keeps them feeling young by her kitten antics.
Her real name was Gracie, but she just looked more like a "Booboo". LOL We just love her to death! =^..^=
Thanks for sharing Booboo and Mamma cat with us!
